Short Bio

 

A dynamic duo from backgrounds of musical polarity; one extending from a lifetime career in rock and music production, and the other based in classical and jazz studies. It is this polarity that their diverse and expressive style can be attributed. The duo comprised of Brazilian guitarist and producer, Edi Roque, and classical oboist and jazz vocalist, Skye Butterfield, explores their musicianship through writing and composing  for multiple projects and avenues including composing for Film and TV and expanding their personal licensing library. Their project Exploding Oceans is a sub project created by the duo to develop songs that utilize a classic band setting. While​ their duo, Embracing Oceans, utilizes a simplistic orchestration while exploring more poetic and harmonic complexities.
